Duncan, the owner, is the man behind the scenes keeping everything running like clockwork – but give him half a chance and he’ll be out on the water doing what he loves most. Having grown up navigating these waters, there’s not much he doesn’t know about the coastline.

He holds an Advanced Certificate of Competence, meaning he’s qualified to skipper vessels up to 24m with 12 passengers, up to 20 miles offshore, day or night. He’s also an advanced powerboat and personal watercraft instructor – so you’re in seriously safe hands.

As a dad of three, Duncan is passionate about making Anglesey Boat Trips a great experience for families. When he’s not on the water or spending time with his crew at home, he’s often busy supporting local charities, including volunteering with disabled skiing initiatives.

Jason has been part of the crew since 2015, bringing with him over 30 years of life at sea – and plenty of stories to go with it! From working across all corners of the marine industry to becoming an advanced powerboat instructor, it’s safe to say you’re in very capable hands. He also holds a commercially endorsed Yachtmaster Offshore certificate and a Masters’ ticket dispensation.

What really sets Jason apart is his passion for the local area. Whether it’s spotting wildlife, sharing hidden history, or pointing out things you’d otherwise miss, he loves bringing each trip to life for our guests.

When he’s not skippering, you’ll likely find him out sailing his own racing yacht, or keeping busy down at the allotment – always happiest when he’s outdoors!

Sarah has built an impressive maritime career around the world, starting as a snorkelling guide in Australia before working on houseboats in the Kimberley region, dolphin-watching boats in New Zealand, and passenger ferries in the United States.

After moving to the UK, she spent three seasons as a deckhand and trainee skipper in North Wales before gaining her skipper's licence. Now part of the Anglesey Boat Trips team, Sarah loves sharing her passion for the sea, wildlife and the local coastline with passengers.

Her international experience, friendly nature and enthusiasm for being on the water make her a valued member of the crew.

Dave joined the team after years spent working on large superyachts and travelling the world – but Anglesey was always home. Growing up locally (in a well-known Beaumaris baking family), his love for the water started early and never left.

These days, Dave brings that global experience together with proper local knowledge. Expect stories, insights, and a few hidden gems that only someone who grew up here would know. Add in his top-notch boat handling, and you’re in for a trip that’s just the right mix of exhilarating and informative.

Ben is the self-proclaimed “handsome young blood” of the team, doing his best to keep the more seasoned crew on their toes. Holding an MCA Master Unlimited licence, he’s just as comfortable navigating tight waters of the Menai Strait as he is at the helm further afield where, when he’s not down here terrifying everyone, he casually “drives cruise ships” (or so he’ll tell you).

A local lad, Ben grew up sailing and windsurfing on the straits and spending his downtime exploring Eryri, so he knows the area like the back of his hand. With experience spanning all but two of the world’s seven oceans and a background as a former powerboat instructor, he brings a mix of solid seamanship, local knowledge, and just enough sarcasm to keep things interesting!

Pete has been a commercial powerboat skipper since 2006, with over a decade spent running wildlife and whirlpool trips along Scotland’s rugged west coast. His experience doesn’t stop there – he’s also worked across the industrial side of powerboating in Norfolk, both coasts of Scotland, and even the west coast of France.

Alongside his time on the water, Pete built a career in the Fire Service, where he qualified as both an RYA Advanced Powerboat Instructor and a Rescue 3 Swift Water Rescue Boat Instructor – bringing a calm, capable approach to every trip he runs.
